As part of the Johns Hopkins Intercession Abroad, a large group of students and teachers has spent the majority of January in Uganda, engaging in a peer-to-peer learning experience. Among those who made the trip are SOE Assistant Professor Eric Rice, and an SOE student.

The program, titled Uganda: Childhood, Health and Society, has taken the group from the urban settings of Kampala to rural settings for community-based research and an examination of health and education. While there, the group also met and stayed with local residents, learning what their lives are like.

The group has been keeping a blog of its travels, which end this week as intercession comes to a close. Read about their experiences here: http://uganda2012.blogspot.com
